Signs of poor emotional and mental health include feeling like you do not have the strength or ability to cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively or fruitfully, or interact positively in your family, relationships and community life. Emotional suffering includes being overwhelmed by feelings such as grief, sadness, anger, fear, anxiety, or low self-esteem, which can be caused by any number of challenging issues in life.

This page contains links for EMOTIONAL HEALTH PROBLEMS such as depression, bereavement, suicidal intent and self-harm, and also for MENTAL HEALTH ILLNESSES such as Bi-polar, Schizophrenia, Psychosis and Mania.

Also see below for links to services offering support and information relating to SPECIFIC ‘LIFE’ PROBLEMS which could be a reason for poor emotional health, such as drug and alcohol addiction, abuse, pregnancy, joblessness and more.
