SUICIDAL INTENT

The Samaritans will listen if you want to talk about how you are feeling. Metanoia - If you are thinking about suicide, read this first.  There may be another way to view your emotions and it provides a very insightful guide to help you understand how to view your emotional state of mind.

CALM -  The campaign against living miserably (CALM) seeks to reduce the high suicide rate amongst men under 35. It is a campaign and charity targeting young men with a helpline, magazine and online community, but CALM listens to anyone who needs help or support.

Papyrus is a national charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide. Papyrus aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues and suicide by;

  • Increasing awareness of young suicides and how to help prevent it
  • Provide services. A phone helpline is available - 0800 0684141
  • Support and disseminate research and knowledge
  • Contribute to local and national suicide prevention and awareness programmes.

 

Rethink - If you feel like you want to take your own life, please read this. We know you are hurting right now, but you don’t have to go through this alone. This webpage contains some suggestions for things you can do right away to help yourself get through the immediate crisis and have a chance to find other solutions.
